What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Benefits Communication Specialist position at Baldwin Group Colleague, Inc.?
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collaborate well with cross-functional team members to develop client-ready materials (benefit guides, presentations, education campaigns, etc.) to promote and educate client employees about their benefit plans
- Help build and maintain library of client-facing materials (emails, flyers, postcards, videos, etc.)
- Manage upkeep of client-facing library, including maintaining a calendar of which pieces need to be updated annually, and creating a process for how pieces get regularly refreshed
- Monitor and optimize the performance of library content
- Create compelling multi-channel benefit education campaigns that are appealing to diverse audiences
- Work with multiple clients, requiring shifting between differing brand identities and audiences
- Deliver collaterals on time and partner effectively with internal colleagues to gain approval or feedback
- Balance multiple projects with differing and aggressive timelines, deliverables, and expectations
- Promote a culture of vigilance, accountability, collaboration, strong ethical standards and a high degree of client satisfaction.
- Suggest new ways to promote firm services and reach target audiences
- Create refreshed templates that EBG colleagues can efficiently update without additional design or visual edits
- Coordination/oversight of language translation services (when needed) for all collaterals
- Understand the scope of compliance and work with legal team to ensure that all deliverables are compliant and legally sound
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED: 2-15 state insurance license or other state insurance license(s), as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions
- Minimum two years professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Human Resource Management, Business, or other related concentration, is preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (key focus on PPT and MS Word)
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Excellent writing, researching, and editing skills
- Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to produce clear and effective communication to audiences
- Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- A keen eye for detail and appreciation for great design
- Ability to adapt well to change, as a team member and as a content creator
- Demonstrates the firm’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm’s culture
