: Conduct search for low income families, publicize in newspaper and through school notices, register children for Head Start; and validate qualifications; provide training for parents on a variety of topics; serve as a liaison between home and school; counsel parents and refer them to appropriate community agencies; assist parents with completing required forms; prepare and maintain a variety of records; make home visits to provide and obtain information to assist families; attend parent Policy Committee meetings; provide translation when necessary; work with parents and staff to develop and revise the Parent Involvement and Social Services Components of the Head Start program; provide referrals to community agencies for needs relating to food, clothing, glasses, and medical care; attend district authorized or directed meetings and workshops, may transport parents, students, and community members to or from school related activities, community resource agencies, Grantee meetings, and workshops.
