What are the responsibilities and job description for the 24.25 Teaching Assistant Assignments position at Baldwinsville Central School District?
Full time, probationary assignments as a Certified Teaching Assistant are available at various UPK-12 school buildings throughout the Baldwinsville Central School District for the School Year. Applicants must hold either a NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant (Level 1, 2, or 3) OR NYS Certification in any of the Teaching certification areas.
Teaching assistants may work with an individual student or groups of students. Teaching Assistants work in tandem with the classroom teacher(s) to provide support for educational services and assist students with specific health related activities as appropriate. When working with students, employees may be required to perform or assist with a student's personal hygiene, feeding and use of assistive devices (e.g. wheelchairs).
Salary is not negotiable and will be paid at $28,270 for the 24.25 school year (Sept.-June). NYS Teachers' Retirement System Pension, District Health, Dental, Vision and Prescription benefits are available.
Job Qualifications
NYS certified Teaching Assistant (Level 1-3) OR NYS certification in any Teaching area.
