About the role
The Subcontracts Intern will assist the subcontracts team on various projects including but not drafting modifications, data gathering, file cleanup, assistance with new software implementation, report generation, and other tasks as assigned by the VP of Subcontracts & Procurement. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a subcontract management environment and will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in compiling data for upcoming software implementation.
- Assist with report generation and data validation.
- Assist in drafting modifications, termination notices, etc.
- Assist with acquiring documentation such as updated certificates from subcontractors.
- Other projects as assigned
- Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required
Who we're looking for
- Current Student with GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Pursuing a degree in accounting, contracting, legal or related field
- Previous internship preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week, with up to 40 hours during peak activity periods.
- High degree of organizational skills, and the ability to work as a self-starter.
Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.
Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents and other staff members during the workday.
