About the role
The VP of HR is responsible for delivery of HR services to the business and implementation of evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes for strategic priorities across employee relations, talent development, and employee experience.
What you'll be doing
- Define metrics and establish regular reporting on key indicators of progress against plans to manage quality and business impact of HR initiatives.
- Partner with shared services teams, operational assurance, and functional leaders to ensure effective delivery of core HR services and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support HR teams in building and executing project plans, including milestone development, risk mitigation, and impact measurement.
- Develop HR team through day-to-day operations, long-term strategic initiatives, and proactive identification of training and upskilling opportunity.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and Regional Management to support processes related to investigations, HR grievances, and compliance.
- Regularly monitor compliance with key policies overseeing fair and consistent application of corrective actions across the organization.
- Oversee data and develop reporting solutions to surface trends and reduce reactive responses across employee relations initiatives.
- Oversee HR Business Partner team through coaching and remediation decisions and proactive assessment of HR development needs to support the business.
- Directly manage and approve corrective action related to HR grievances.
- Lead HR team through strategy planning, tool and framework application, execution of HR Business Plans and change management to support business leaders through workforce planning, employee relations, and retention initiatives.
- Directly support senior leaders in Corporate functions as Lead HRBP for employee relations, employee engagement, workforce planning, and compensation initiatives
- Approve PAF and ensure accurate, timely management of documentation by appropriate managers
- Manage exits and participate in onboarding and enablement of new employees
- Develop and implement tools and strategies for talent management, including performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Collaborate with SVP HR, Director TA, and business leaders to set and achieve talent attraction, retention, and development goals across functional areas.
- Guide employee experience and onboarding teams to implement programs to understand and continuously improve the employee experience through recognition, development, and team building opportunities.
Typical Physical Demands: Regularly uses hands to manipulate phones, computer keyboard and similar tools. Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment, for extended periods of time. Sit and stand to perform administrative work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.
Work is performed in an office environment. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Who we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, Labor relations
- Master’s Human Resources preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic development of HR practices, risk mitigation and compliance, and business partnering across a multi-geography portfolio for exempt, non-exempt, and hourly demographics, exposure to high turnover industries and leading through organizational change preferred.
- Relevant HR Certifications Preferred
- Deep knowledge and proven background in HR compliance and employee relations.
- Strong HRIS technology skills, including full scale system implementation experience, experience with report-writing and analytical systems
- Exceptional organizational, program and initiative management skills with ability to lead and measure impact of complex HR projects.
- Proven ability to lead HR teams and advise senior leaders outside of HR across multiple functions.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with capability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
- Strong analytical capability and experience using data to drive insights and support talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
- Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required
