Job description
This position is primarily responsible for supervising children during Complimentary Child Watch, Summer Camp (Seasonal) and events/parties. This job ranges from June through August with potential to be year round if the candidate is local. Must be dependable and reliable. Flexible schedules Weekdays mornings/afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Care and assistance of children in various FAC and Aquatics (seasonal) events.
- Accountable for safety of children at all times.
- Supervising and executing planned enrichment activities for groups of children
- Communicating effectively with parents, children and fellow staff members
- Implementing programs for children and teens in various settings
- Demonstrate professionalism in daily actions and work habits to provide excellent customer service and positive experiences for members
- Thinking on one’s feet to meet the needs of children in unexpected situations, both physically and mentally
QUALIFICATIONS
- Have a passion for working with children and teens to promote positive development and learning experiences
- Past experience working in a childcare setting is preferred, but not required
- Candidates with interest in child development/education preferred
- Must be able to handle, in a positive way, the demands that contact with many children and parents bring every day.
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
