Position Summary:
The Restaurant Expeditor is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the flow of orders from the kitchen to the dining area. They ensure that all food is prepared correctly, presented beautifully, and served in a timely manner. The Expo acts as a bridge between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff, ensuring seamless communication and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management:
Receive and organize orders from the kitchen.
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and customer specifications.
Prioritize and manage multiple orders, ensuring timely delivery.
Quality Control:
Inspect dishes before they leave the kitchen to ensure they meet quality standards for presentation, temperature, and portion size.
Communicate any issues or corrections to the kitchen staff promptly.
Communication/Collaboration:
Serve as a liaison between kitchen staff and servers to ensure clear communication about orders, special requests, and any changes.
Coordinate with servers to ensure orders are delivered to the correct tables and customers receive what they ordered.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure that customers receive hot, fresh food in a timely manner, contributing to a positive dining experience.
Address any issues or complaints related to food quality or timing.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Report any safety concerns or hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant setting.
Experience using Toast POS
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
ServSafe food handler certified or willing to obtain certification

- Schedule flexibility with nights, weekends, and holiday availability preferred

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $20.42
