Position Summary:
 
As a Sales & Event Manager, you will be responsible for the development of market segment(s) including solicitation of new customer relationships, and negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. Creative design of menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience. Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts. Fostering all internal customer relationships to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events. Directs event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for event execution. Serve as the primary contact and is responsible for his/her experience.

Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  •  To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
  •  Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
  •  Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
  •  Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.
  •  Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
  •  Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
  •  Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determining the best solution.
  •  Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
  •  Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
  • Prospecting for new business using a wide variety of methods including but not limited to phone calls, outside sales calls, community and CVB networking, internet prospecting, engaging resources and relationships within Brand Sales Organization, and client entertainment within assigned territory.
  • Understanding the overall market in which you sell- supply/demand, territory business trends, competitor SWOT, client sentiment and the like- in order to most effectively position the Venues. 
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual booking goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:  
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time  
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time  
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds safely and properly  
  • Ability to reach and bend to serve guests across the bar/table  
  • Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment  
  • No offensive tattoos  
  • Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends  
   
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:  
  • California Food Handlers Card (must be obtained within 30 days of employment). Serve safe certificate preferred.   
  • Anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour class.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
