Job Description
The Event Sales Manager is a dynamic and results-driven sales professional who will be selling our sports-driven spaces to groups along with catering services provided. Our larger spaces will be available for facility rental with the use of our approved off-premises caterers. This role will be responsible for booking private events, corporate gatherings, social celebrations while creating exceptional client experiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in event sales, food and beverage, and hospitality, with a passion for relationship-building and exceeding revenue targets. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, and a passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports-related event sales.
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Proactively sell event space within our sports facility, including corporate outings, private parties, and sportsthemed events.
- Sell event space rentals for larger social events such as weddings, milestone celebrations, and fundraisers, coordinating with an offpremises caterer.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calls, referrals, and inbound inquiries to maximize revenue.
- Develop relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding coordinators, and local businesses to drive event bookings.
- Create and execute sales strategies, promotions, and packages to optimize bookings and revenue streams.
- Network and develop relationships within the event industry to keep Ballers top of mind for events and referrals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry to postevent followup.
- Conduct site tours and presentations to showcase venue features and event capabilities.
- Work closely with clients to understand their event vision, ensuring seamless coordination of venue space, catering, and additional services.
- Maintain a database of past and prospective clients to nurture relationships and drive repeat business.
- Develop proposals, pricing packages, and event contracts tailored to client needs while ensuring profitability.
- Negotiate contract terms, including venue rental fees, food and beverage minimums, and service charges.
- Track sales performance, revenue goals, and conversion rates, reporting to leadership on sales progress and market trends.
- Collaborate with the operations, culinary, and catering teams to ensure flawless execution of booked events.
- Coordinate with offpremises catering partners to customize menus and service plans for larger social events.
- Oversee event timelines, logistics, and client expectations to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop event partnerships with local vendors.
- Network and develop relationships within the event industry to keep Ballers top of mind for events and referrals.
Skills & Qualifications
- 35 years of event sales experience in hospitality, social sports facilities, catering, or event venues.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in event and catering sales.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, catering logistics, and venue sales.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple clients and events, and work under pressure.
- Experience with TripleSeat event sales software, and proposal development.
- Knowledge of local event market trends, corporate event needs, and social event planning is a plus.
- Passion for sports, hospitality, and delivering outstanding event experiences.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events
