Job Description
We are seeking a Retail & Brand Partnerships Specialist to lead the development of our retail strategy, secure brand partnerships, and create a signature Ballers apparel line. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of retail experience, a strong understanding of brand collaborations, and a proven ability to generate revenue through sponsorships and co-branded merchandise.
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Develop and execute a retail strategy that enhances the Ballers brand and customer experience.
- Identify and establish partnerships with premium apparel, sporting goods, and accessory brands to be sold at Ballers locations.
- Lead the creation of a Ballersbranded apparel line, including tshirts, sweats, athleisure wear, and accessories.
- Work with designers and manufacturers to develop, source, and launch branded merchandise.
- Oversee inventory management, pricing strategy, and retail performance metrics.
- Secure sponsorships and cobranded product deals with major sports, lifestyle, and athleisure brands.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements that generate revenue, provide free gear, and enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate with marketing to integrate sponsored products into events, promotions, and digital campaigns.
- Build relationships with industry leaders to position Ballers as a premier sports and lifestyle brand.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for retail sales, including instore, online, and social media promotions.
- Partner with the events team to showcase Ballersbranded and sponsored merchandise at tournaments and special events.
- Leverage athlete, influencer, and ambassador partnerships to drive retail engagement and sales.
Skills & Qualifications
- 57 years of experience in retail, brand partnerships, or merchandising, preferably in the sports or lifestyle industry.
- Strong track record of securing brand collaborations and sponsorships.
- Experience developing privatelabel apparel or cobranded product lines.
- Understanding of retail sales, inventory management, and product marketing.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills.
- Passion for sports, fitness, and lifestyle branding is a plus.
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living
- Knowledge of pickleball, padel, golf, squash, and soccer
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
