Ballet Co.Laboratory is Minnesota’s largest professional ballet company & school, based in Saint Paul. The organization challenges ballet’s “traditions” by creating new dance works & education programs that celebrate individuality.
Founded in 2018 & led by Artistic Director Zoé Henrot and Managing Director Rachel Koep, Ballet Co.Laboratory is nationally recognized for reimagining how ballet is taught, created, & presented. Rejecting the notion that ballet must conform to a singular mold, the organization embraces dancers of all body types, gender identities, ethnicities, ages, & learning styles.
With a dynamic ensemble of professional dancers, Ballet Co.Laboratory creates groundbreaking classical and contemporary ballet works. From bold reimaginations of ballet classics to original productions that illuminate new narratives, the company merges technical excellence with storytelling that captivates & inspires today’s audiences. Beyond the stage, Ballet Co.Laboratory offers dance classes for all ages & skill levels, along with meaningful outreach programs that bring professional dance experiences to underserved communities.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Ballet Co.Laboratory’s Board of Directors is a dedicated group of volunteers who guide the organization toward a sustainable future. They ensure strong ethical and financial practices while securing the resources needed to support and grow Ballet Co.Laboratory’s mission.
The Board meets six times a year. Members serve a two-year term, with an option to serve an additional term (four years total). Each member plays an active role in securing talents and treasures to strengthen the organization's future.
