The Role :
The Buyer is responsible for placement of orders with vendors and processing of related paperwork
Responsibilities :
- Verifies delivery dates and order placement, following up to ensure delivery of correct product.
- Processes all paperwork associated with purchasing in a timely manner.
- Sets up BPOs and CPOs, as required.
- Requests and evaluates vendor bid proposals.
- Coordinates and processes fulfillment requests via BPO releases as required.
- Assists in identifying and utilizing certified Diverse suppliers.
- Compiles and provides information (e.g., vendor access list, gaming related purchase list) to regulatory agencies for review and approval.
- Maintains and distributes approved Vendor Registration lists.
- Verifies Vendor Licensing, as required.
- Assists Director of Purchasing with Supplier Onboarding needs.
- Makes timely notification of any voids per department procedure.
- Monitors progress of vendor applications.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of Internal Controls as they relate to Purchasing.
- Maintains updated skills and proficiencies, keeping pace with innovations in Procurement tools and technology.
