Job Summary:
As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting procedures, including but not limited to month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliations, general ledger entries, and financial analysis. This position's starting wage is $24.
Essential Functions:
- Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members.
- Preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts including bank account reconciliations.
- Prepare closing general ledger entries.
- Assist in preparation and transmission of the daily, weekly and monthly tax remittance information.
- Assist in preparation of Illinois Gaming Board Reports.
- Assist independent auditors, Illinois Gaming Board Auditors and Internal Auditor as required.
- Ensures the department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Two to three years prior financial experience
- Strong computer skills including extensive spreadsheet knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Casino and Oracle experience preferred
