Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A STAFF CAFETERIA CHEF
As a Staff Cafeteria Chef at Baltimore Country Club, you are a major component that keeps the whole club running! The Club is proud to offer great benefits to our staff which makes working fun, and creates a place where coworkers feel like family. In this role, your passion for food allows you to come up with new and exciting ideas for our staff, allowing them to be well fueled throughout each day. This position will provide lunch and dinner daily with additional options such as salads, soups, or sides.
In addition to the proper preparation of food, you ensure its properly stored and handled. You inspect food prep and serving areas regularly to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices. You love the camaraderie that comes with working as part of a cohesive culinary team in a tightly-run kitchen. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you are never bored, and time goes by quickly.
Qualifications
At least two years of culinary experience in a fast-paced environment; High school diploma or equivalent; Food handlers card; Experience with a variety of dining venues such as fine dining, buffets, grill stations, and/ or display cooking. Experience working in a Country Club or fine dining experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
Do you work well as part of a team? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a love for hospitality? Do you have good communication skills and the ability to memorize information easily? Can you read and follow directions well? Are you quick on your feet and able to work in a fast-paced environment? If so, then you might just be perfect for this Line Cook position!
