Pay Schedule I, Grade 26, Regular Schedule: 35 hours per week

Under general supervision, performs advanced subprofessional engineering, drafting, design, simulation, and computational work.- Performs drafting, computational, and designs work in the preparation of plans and specifications for County projects.
- Prepares designs for water, sewerage, and storm drainage facilities, public buildings and other public works projects.
- Interprets construction plans and deeds.
- Operates computers and peripheral equipment to perform GIS work and computer aided drafting and design of engineering drawings, plans, and projects.
- Plots property outlines from drawings and deed descriptions.
- Prepares maps and drawings.
- Makes field inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Takes field measurements of existing utility crossings.
- Prepares cost estimates from preliminary designs and completed construction plans.
- Reviews private development plans to identify conflicts with existing County utilities or proposed capital improvement projects.
- Prepares correspondence, reports, and records.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate equivalent.

Six years' subprofessional engineering experience.
(Additional qualifying education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to maximum of four years for the required experience.)
