Part-Time Schedule: 25 hours per week
A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Bureau of Behavioral Health, Department of Health and Human Services.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

Possession of a valid driver’s license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland driver license is required at the time of application.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE
Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions. The work of this classification is generally sedentary, but may require some traveling throughout the County and lifting and carrying in the set up of educational displays and presentations.

Applicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screening and employment investigation, including, but not limited to criminal background, education certification and fingerprinting checks.

- Support the peer recovery support staff in the daily operations of the County peer support programs providing direct services
- Support the peer support staff by administering screenings to determine program placement
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information disclosed during supervision that meets legal and professional requirements in order to assure appropriate and successful supervisor-to-supervisee relationships
- Represent the Baltimore County Department of Health and the peer support programs at local community events
- Provide outreach and education on peer support programs to individuals in the community
- Provide outreach and education to local providers
