SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Office of Councilman Antonio Glover seeks to fill the Chief of Staff role on our dynamic team. The Chief of Staff is responsible for operationalizing the Councilman’s vision. If you are ready to lead, collaborate, and hustle for the district, consider applying.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Execute Councilman’s strategy to strengthen the city & bring resources to the district
- Day-to-day office leadership : prioritize projects & meetings, review external messaging, organize weekly staff meetings, HR needs, etc.
- Support team members, accomplish goals, and continue their professional development
- Build authentic relationships with district residents, agencies, partners to inform policy decisions and share information from the office and city
- Attend community association meetings, meet with community leaders, coordinate quarterly district-wide meetings
- Meet & coalition build with Councilmembers, State Elected Officials & respective staff
- Collaborate with advocacy groups and City agencies to bring resources to the district and city
- Collaborate with constituents and City agencies to solve complex issues in the district
- Manage constituent services system
- Handle complex issues and challenging constituents
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate and two years of office support experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
