Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage a high volume of vendor invoices in a timely manner.
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.
- Ensure proper approval for all invoices before processing for payment.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and resolve any issues.
- Assist month-end closing by providing general ledger reconciliation and preparing journal entries and accruals related to Accounts Payable.
- Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support.
- Support other accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Encore or other ERP systems and automated invoice processing tools.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
