Responsible for the daily activities and administration of Bancroft Employee Benefit plans, which include operating efficiency and cost-effectiveness in alignment with strategic organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Administers various employee benefits programs. Processes new enrollments, changes and termination of coverages in a timely and accurate manner, compliant with all applicable regulation. Ensures payroll deductions are consistent with benefit enrollments.
- Responds to and resolves employee concerns regarding benefits programs; reviews and presents requests for exception to standard processes.
- Develops, updates and adheres to written operating procedures that are in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepares benefit reports to extract data for testing, reporting, and audit for accuracy. Tracks/reports HR metrics as it pertains to HR key performance indicators.
- Manages the auditing of accurate benefit enrollment information, and timely processing of benefit invoices.
- Assists in the development and implementation of various communication tools to enhance understanding of Bancroft’s benefit package including benefit orientation, open enrollment, total compensation statements, and summary plan descriptions.
- Participates in the effective and accurate implementation of changes to benefit programs. Responsible for record-keeping of all plan documents including creating and maintaining standard operating guidelines. Oversees processing of all documents necessary for implementation of various benefits programs and maintenance of such records as required for compliance with ERISA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations.
- Works with Consultant/Broker and internal resources on the development of benefits proposals, including data collection and review, plan-specific questions and issues, etc.
- Informs, recommends and counsels management on trends and current developments in the field of employee benefits programs. Maintains positive and professional interactions with HR team members from all functional areas to enhance operations and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Willingly and effectively cooperates with Bancroft, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.

- Performs other work related activities and participates in special projects, as required. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by organizational and departmental needs.
High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of three years’ prior experience in employee benefit administration preferred. Prior experience in human resources management is also preferred.
