Banister Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Tag and Title Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with processing vehicle registration, titles, and other essential paperwork related to vehicle ownership. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry or similar administrative roles and possess a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Process vehicle titles, registrations, and renewals accurately and efficiently.
- Verify all vehicle and owner information for accurate title and registration forms.
- Prepare and submit title applications, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their vehicle tags and titles.
- Coordinate with state DMV offices and other agencies to resolve issues related to title and registration.
- Handle sensitive customer information confidentially and securely.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, or via email regarding tag and title-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in automotive title and registration, or similar administrative experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle title and registration laws and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry-specific software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
