What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Billing Clerk/Deals position at Banister Nissan of Chesapeake?
Banister Nissan of Chesapeake is seeking to hire a Full-Time Automotive Billing clerk. Automotive experience is preferred but will hire and train the right, qualified candidate. As the billing clerk you play an integral role in the accounting department, collaborating closely with our Controller and management team. Banister is interested in meeting ambitious, self-motivated and career-minded individuals, with experience providing exceptional customer service.
This role is within the accounting office and is responsible for verifying costs related to the sales of vehicles, handling legal transfer of documents for the the MVR, ensuring the proper completion of deal documentation.
Prior automotive experience in a similar role is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Finalize deals.
- Stock in Vehicles
- Bill new, used and pre-owned vehicles, dealer trades and wholesales.
- Maintaining deal logs and commission logs, balancing totals.
- Prepare detailed installment contracts for submission to the lenders.
- Compile and sort documents.
- Verify and prepare check for the payoff on traded vehicles
- Payoff Floorplans.
- Review and Clean schedules.
- Warranties
QUALIFICATIONS
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Previous automotive industry experience. (Preferred)
- One to two years’ experience in automotive bookkeeping/accounting. (Preferred)
- Skilled at using automotive accounting software. (Preferred)
