What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Loan Operations position at Bank of Canton?
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum 6 years experience in active commercial lending department.
· Exceptionally strong loan documentation skills are essential.
· Strong knowledge on bank computer systems relating to loans and deposits. Strong experience with databases, word processing software and spreadsheets.
· Ability to work well with others and an ability to manage support staff.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
· Manage commercial loan administrators, appraisal coordinator and loan operations staff responsible for loan documentation review, loan servicing functions including loan system set-up, loan payoff, loan participations, collateral release, mortgage discharge, loan maintenance, loan modifications, payment and advance processing, real estate tax escrow, tax monitoring, insurance processing, UCC tracking, PMI, investor processing, SBA reporting and maintain credit and legal files.
· Interact with Bank Counsel to resolve any closing issues in the absence of the Loan Account Officer.
· Supports loan operations staff through direct contact with lawyers or appraisers in resolving issues or coordinating actions.
· Establish a strong relationship with the various lending units to ensure efficiency, compliance and an excellent customer experience.
· Review current processes and procedures and work to enhance monitoring controls and create efficiencies within the loan operations area.
· Member of the IT Steering Committee
· Involved in special projects as requested.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Normal office requirements with long periods of standing and sitting.
· Must have the ability to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to communicate orally and in writing, alphabetize, and collate.
· Ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy.
· Ability to enter data into a computer and check data for accuracy.
· Ability to transport and lift boxes and bend/reach to file records.
