Description
Position Purpose: Assists Special Assets Officer II with responsibility for the organization’s collection activities for all types of loans. Ensures that procedures conform to requirements. Implements and administers loan collections policies and procedures in accordance with corporate policy.
What you’ll do
· Assists with the daily operation of the collections department.
· Contact borrowers with past due accounts by phone or mail.
· Maintain accurate and complete records on past due accounts and collection actions.
· Initiate and monitor all legal activity required on delinquent accounts, as needed.
· Initiate repossession of collateral, as needed. Perform follow-up duties after repossession.
· Interact with loan officers on past due accounts.
· Prepare periodic reports regarding delinquent accounts.
· Ensure that collection actions on accounts are appropriate and timely, and that established policies and procedures are observed.
· Supervisory duties as required
Requirements

· High school diploma/GED
· A college degree or related work experience is preferred.
· Knowledge of collections law
· Ability to interact and get along with co-workers and customers in a friendly and professional manner

Working Conditions:
The individual will be required to be available after normal working hours. Business travel may be necessary to meet with vendors and attend training opportunities.
