Collector

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing past due accounts and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial processes, and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients. The Collector will work closely with various departments to maintain accurate records and support the overall revenue cycle management.

Duties

• Contact clients via phone or email to collect outstanding payments on accounts.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and terms with clients to facilitate timely collections.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to collections.
• Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues related to debits and credits.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professional phone etiquette during all interactions.
• Conduct account analysis to identify trends in payment behaviors and recommend strategies for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in collections or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
• Proficient in analyzing financial data and generating reports as needed.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
