What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Assistant/Processor position at Bank of Coushatta?
Overview
This position requires a strong understanding of loan processing procedures, compliance regulations, and excellent communication skills to facilitate smooth transactions between clients, loan officers, and underwriting teams.
Duties
Performs all related Loan Department responsibilities including, but not limited to; running credit reports and conducting account research; processing consumer, commercial and real estate loan payments and advances
Generating loan documents
Boarding loan documents on the Bank’s core systems
Provides support to all assigned areas of the department where service or assistance is needed; acts as a backup for various loan department positions and functions
Monitors exception tickler system to ensure proper receipt of UCC, MIMS, Deeds of Trust, and Title Policy filings and other documentation
Answers the telephone; responds to routine loan officer or customer inquiries relative to account balances, loan balances and payoff requests
Order appraisals
Works with insurance policies and related reports; contacts agents; works closely with loan officers and customers to ensure proper insurance is received and maintained
Works with title companies to order and review title work
Assists loan officers and other personnel to ensure proper related documentation is prepared and/or provided
Cross-trains less experienced loan department personnel in all loan servicing functions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
