Position Overview
The goal of the Business Solutions Analyst-Lending Systems is to be responsible for the configuration, technical support, and maintenance of applications and systems used for lending, credit analysis, and credit risk management functions throughout the Bank. Other banking applications may be assigned by the Bank Solutions Manager and CIO based on input from Business Unit leaders and product management. This role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), performing both business analyst and systems analyst functions, for assigned applications. This role will be responsible for staying abreast of software enhancements and roadmaps for assigned systems, and for communicating that information to the appropriate areas of the Bank. The Business Solutions Analyst is also responsible for documenting processes that result from the use of the applications / systems being supported.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently delivers outstanding client service, providing premiere client satisfaction with a friendly demeanour, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Acts as a cultural ambassador to internal and external clients, providing a professional, exceptional, and supportive experience with each interaction.
- Serves as the primary application specialist and Subject Matter Expert on assigned banking applications.
- Performs business analyst functions to define functional and non-functional business requirements for bank systems, and specifically lending systems.
- Individually performs systems analyst function to configure applications to support business requirements, efficiently performs desired business processes, and properly executes necessary data operations.
- Documents, plans, tests, and implements software specifications to meet bank business requirements for modified or new bank products and systems.
- Plans and coordinates installation, upgrades, patching, integration, and conversion of bank software and services with project management, technical staff, supported business units, vendors, and clients.
- Provides first and second tier support for assigned bank applications and systems.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, and determines corrective actions to resolve business process or system issues.
- Coordinates application and system change management activities in accordance with Bank policy and industry best practices. Collaborates with the product manager, project manager, and all critical stakeholders for all changes that impact functionality of lending systems / product or implements new capabilities.
- Develops and updates application support plans and system documentation for assigned systems and platforms.
- Plans, coordinates, and schedules application and system support activities for assigned systems based on product roadmaps, changes to compatibility requirements and the IT infrastructure, regulatory changes, user requirements, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- Provides and / or contributes to the development of ongoing training to support staff and users when requested.
- Participates in appropriate advisory councils and user groups in order to influence product roadmaps based on the Bank’s goals and objectives.
