JOB SUMMARY:
This is a management position responsible for assisting in overseeing Bank of the Sierra’s delivery of service to its members with oversight of Corporate Operations functions. The Assistant Director of Process Operations will direct, develop, and evaluate service delivery to ensure that high-quality service is provided to members and operational goals are attained. They will also monitor product quality and oversee training, development, and evaluation of staff; communicate directly/indirectly with staff regarding operational objectives, procedures, and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Manages subordinate supervisors, under the direction of the Director of Process Operations, who supervise employees in the departments of Central Operations. Supervisory roles will include Payment Solutions, New Account Activity, legal processing, Cash Management, and General Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, the applicant must have a minimum of 5 years working in a financial institution and a minimum of 3 years holding a management position in a financial institution. The applicant should have a vast understanding of bank operations to ensure compliance with meaningful policies and procedures. The applicant should have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have strong leadership skills to be able to take initiative and make important decisions. Individuals considering this position must be able to work both independently and in a team setting, keep their composure during stressful situations, and boost employee morale by providing a healthy work environment.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any related field is highly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Administers the Central Operations department support functions.
- Undertakes administration of suspense account preparation and management.
- Confers with subordinate personnel to discuss operational problems or explain procedural changes or practices.
