What are the responsibilities and job description for the Debit Card Specialist position at Bank of Utah?
We are currently looking for a Debit Card Specialist to work Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm at our Main Branch, located at 2627 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. The primary job function is to perform all maintenance and balancing related to debit cards; perform and resolve investigations associated with Regulation E and Visa disputes along with processing any chargebacks. Provide primary call center support for debit card calls and secondary support for general customer service calls.

- Maintenance of Debit Cards: Handle all daily maintenance in regard to Debit Cards. This includes opening and closing cards, updating limits and travel rules, contacting customers listed in suspected fraud cases. Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding the use of their Debit card.
- Administration of Disputes and Chargebacks: Prepare and research information for chargebacks. Investigate and complete disputes in a timely manner following the necessary Regulation E and Visa guidelines.
- Monthly Balancing of Various Accounts: Resolve exceptions from daily EFT, Central Vault and ATM account reconciliations. Make daily entries for ATM fees, withdrawals and Debit Card exception transactions.
- Manage the Central Vault balance: Buy and sell branch cash as necessary. Maintain proper balance of individual currency denominations. Facilitate special cash order during the holiday period. Perform occasional Central Vault cash counts controls with the vendor.
- Call Center Calls: Primarily handle customer service calls for debit card support and back up the primary customer service team for general calls. Research various customer transactions as necessary.
To qualify for this position you must have:
- 2 years experience in either customer service or banking.
- Basic computer skills working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to ensure established policies and procedures are being followed.
- Must be accurate, organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Must follow through on assignments and duties to ensure their timely completion.
- The pay range is $17.00 to $25.00 per hour depending upon experience
- Monthly incentive for meeting goal criteria
