The First Financial Bank Consumer Bank Co-op program provides college students the opportunity to gain professional experience in a client- facing environment and gain experience using Salesforce and other tools used by many major companies. Offering flexible full-time summer work schedule, flexible part-time work schedule during the school year, and an opportunity for full-time banking career path at graduation. Students must have reliable transportation to travel between financial centers up to a 30-mile radius from their assigned location. Generally, eight hours will be worked for full-time Co-ops between a window of 8 AM and 6 PM. First Financial invests in the development of our associates. Hands on mentoring from managers and exposure to others in the organization will help prepare students for future careers at the Bank.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Consumer Banker Co-op will work with an assigned leader to coordinate training and scheduling
  • Complete required online compliance courses
  • Conduct teller transactions
  • Support client engagement through client conversations and follow up
  • Utilization of key tools and systems including SalesForce
  • Perform daily activities that align with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including but not limited to:
  • Partner with appropriate internal constituencies to bring appropriate level of expertise to the client whether it is service or solution related
  • Ensure client follow up calls are conducted in the proper time frame
  • Maintain all operational and risk management standards
  • Other duties as assigned to assist clients transact business within the branch, drive-thru, by phone and email
  • Model the way for peers and coworkers aligned with First Financials Mission and Values
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures
  • Deliver excellent client experience
  • Participate and lead in the First Financial Bank Experience by being active in site center huddles and meetings to support service activities
  • Consistently meet or exceed service and referral goals as set by management, by effectively collaborating as a team, the District and with lines of business in an effort to assist clients meet their dedicated financial needs
  • Provide digital assistance and service for clients establishing or in need of support in utilizing the bank’s online offering

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job

  • Currently enrolled in a two or four year undergraduate degree program
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative

  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 lbs.

Compliance Statement

The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures. This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.
