Job Summary:
The ePayments Wire Supervisor oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of the Wire Specialists and ensures all required tasks are completed timely and accurately. This position will monitor, evaluate, and direct assigned team members and communicate with them regularly to share feedback and information regarding issues, recommendations, and general bank happenings. The ePayments Wire Supervisor will coach, encourage, and discipline team members as needed to assist in their personal and professional development, and will evaluate overall performance. This position backs up any processing tasks as needed, including reconciliations. They work with the team trainer to coordinate training content and scheduling. They will work on projects that involve wire or regulations affecting processes and procedures of the team.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Provides the overall supervision of the Wire Specialists and their supported functions. Assigns daily tasks to team members and ensures all required tasks are completed timely and accurately. Monitors, evaluates, and directs assigned team members providing backup support as needed.
- Coordinates or conducts the research, reporting, and resolution of issues reported for the Wire Specialist functions. Ensures Issue Management procedures are followed.
- Proposes system and procedure changes as needed to prevent future issues, improve function, or improve service. Works with Analysts or Trainer on making updates. Ensures the procedure standard is followed.
- Communicates regularly with team members to share information on projects, issues, recommendations, and general bank happenings. Holds regular staff meetings.
- Coaches, encourages, and disciplines team members as needed and evaluates overall performance through regular performance and career development 1:1 sessions and the performance review process. Keeps accurate records of sessions and/or conversations held. Follows the Bank’s disciplinary process when required.
- Assists Support Services and/or the trainer with developing department resources and training for the Wire Specialists.
- Assists with ensuring ePayments wire processing and services follow applicable federal, state and local laws so no regulatory violations exist or are identified by examiners. Stays abreast of new laws and regulations ensuring necessary changes are implemented on a timely basis.
- Regularly communicates with the Business Units the team processes for. Reviews and responds to any issues or ensures the team has handled any given situation properly. Follows up with training or lessons learned.
- Covers duties of the ePayments Product Services Manager in their absence.
- Performs other special projects or duties as assigned, including serving on Bank committees and advisory boards.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least six years of experience in Bank Operations, or similar financial functions.
- Supervisory experience or experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Experience working with electronic payments (ACH, Wire Transfer, RTP) preferred.
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Understanding of bank operations.
- Understanding of financial institutions, payment processing flows (especially retail, treasury and electronic payments), and the financial networks for processing.
- Ability to communicate and relate to people from varying relationships (i.e. personal and business), varying levels of understanding, and varying levels of positions.
- Ability to lead, monitor, evaluate, direct, encourage, motivate, and discipline team members.
- Ability to understand, use, monitor, and evaluate varying types of computer systems.
- Strong work ethic, positive company attitude, and commitment to quality.
Hiring Salary Range
The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $65,000 - $77,000
