General Position Scope:
Responsible for filing, initiating correspondence, scheduling and coordinating the activities between the loan officer and the customer to ensure efficiency within the department. Also responsible for ensuring that loan processing and loan closings are conducted in a prompt manner, as well as selling bank products and services while providing quality service to all Bank customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell and cross-sell Bank products to new and established customers by assessing the customer’s needs and being knowledgeable of the features and benefits of the products.
Responsible for performing duties for department staff in an accurate and efficient manner such as, but not limited to:
preparing documentation and correspondence,
delivering mail within department,
answering phones,
scheduling appointments,
preparing and maintaining desk files.
coordinating activities between loan officers and loan customers.
Prepare loan advances, renewals, extensions and amendments and assist Loan Officers with loan closings and funding.
Review and resolve credit and collateral exceptions.
Assist Loan Officer in compiling information for credit analysis, ordering credit bureau and Dun and Bradstreet reports.
Obtain required information from prospective customers and/or existing customers for collateral and credit files. File Deeds of Trusts, Titles and UCC’s.
Resolve unposted loan items on a daily basis.
Quote loan payoffs and initiate loan payoff letters as instructed.
Send all lending documents to loan administration, ensuring that all exceptions are removed.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
Assist Loan Officers in community and civic projects.
Perform other duties as requested.
Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Six (6) months of related experience required
Clerical and customer service experience required
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
