What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefit Programs Specialist II position at MS State Veterans Home-Oxford?
Second-level professional position in a more complex public assistance program that evaluates the effectiveness of benefit and eligibility programs by auditing processes and reporting finding to the stakeholder. At this level, employees have demonstrated competence within their area of expertise and are resources for solving complex problems involving multiple programs or issues and coordination of benefits across multiple programs or reconciliation of benefits in programs involving both state and federal laws and regulations. At this level, employees may advocate in an appeals process. May be required to perform case management work.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of experience. For the Division of Medicaid, an Associate's Degree and 3-5 years of experience.
