General Position Scope:
Responsible for data collection, monitoring and reporting of data as it pertains to HMDA and 1071 required reporting. The position will work closely with the BankPlus Compliance Department, Document Processing Leads, Quality Assurance Leads as well as various software support teams to ensure data integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review daily reports for accuracy and make necessary corrections in order to complete monthly compliance reporting.
Gather and verify required data points from small business loan applications, including applicant/borrower attributes, loans terms and credit purposes for 1071 Compliance reporting.
Review Weekly Pending Applications Report from DecisionPro.
Review Approved but not Accepted HMDA and 1071 report monthly.
Review Non-Originated HMDA declines.
Compile and submit monthly HMDA and 1071 report to the BankPlus Compliance Department.
Ensure adherence to Section 1071 requirements and other relevant regulations.
Assist with any other compliance related issues.
Assist Loan Officer/Loan Assistants with all HMDA and 1071 related inquiries.
Assist training new employees and ongoing QA training as it relates to HMDA and 1071 Compliance reporting.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, service, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc.
Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Participate in the Bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or 2 or more years of similar experience working with loan documents and loan origination
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive reading and computer usage
Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
Ability to make difficult decisions and manage multiple tasks with daily deadlines.
