What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Operations HMDA Review Specialist position at BankPlus?
Responsible for being the HMDA compliance expert within loan operations. Review all HMDA related documents/reports for regulatory requirements and accuracy. Work closely with the Compliance Department, the Document Processing Managers and Quality Assurance Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review HMDA reports daily for accuracy and make necessary corrections in order to complete monthly HMDA report.
Review Approved but not Accepted HMDA report monthly.
Review Non-Originated HMDA declines.
Submit monthly HMDA report to Compliance Department.
Assist with any other compliance related issues.
Act as backup for Quality Assurance department.
Assist with training new employees and ongoing QA training as relates to compliance.
Mail HMDA adverse actions after HMDA 2R has reviewed.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, service, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc.
Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Participate in the Bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or 2 or more years of similar experience working with loan documents and loan origination
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive reading and computer usage
Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
Ability to handle multiple tasks
