General Position Statement:
The Mortgage Loan Shipper is responsible for the document preparation, compliance verification, and timely submission of the closed loan package for purchase by the investor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible to electronically transmit loans to investors and portfolio loans to the Bank.
Reviews closed loan packages for proper document inclusion and proper completion and obtains corrections if necessary; corresponds with closing attorneys for missing documents.
Monitors closed loan reporting to ensure closed loan packages are received, reviewed and shipped within allotted timeframe.
Updates data regarding shipment in LOS and ensures documents are uploaded to Synergy for permanent storage.
Informs insurance agencies of the mortgagee change.
Serves as backup on shipping and insuring of government and bond loans; MERS and Fannie Mae transfers.
Assists Post Closing Coordinator with needs as they arise.
Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including by not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adheres to the bank’s standard of conduct.
Position Requirements:
Associate degree preferred
Minimum of one year’s experience working with loan documents
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary
Ability to handle multiple tasks
