CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as Commercial Post-Closing Review Specialist. This position can be located in our Hillsdale or Jackson, Michigan location.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for completing post-closing quality control documentation reviews for all new commercial loans, ensuring that all required documentation has been completed correctly and adheres to quality standards and Loan Policy requirements.

DUTIES

Performs a comprehensive review of post-closing loan documents / files. Notifies lenders / credit analysts and loan processors of documentation deficiencies and provides information on required actions necessary to clear deficiencies.
Assists in maintaining tracking system for :

Loan documentation exceptions, deficiencies and loan policy exceptions; and verifies that corrections have been made as needed.

Verifies accuracy of data entered into Premier (Core system).

Respects and maintains strict confidentiality of all information acquired while performing job tasks.

Maintains regular, on-time attendance.

Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for designation retention (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.)

Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position.

Performs other various duties as assigned.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS - INTERNAL

Communicates on a regular basis with Commercial Lenders and support staff.

CONTACT WITH OTHERS - EXTERNAL

Communicates periodically with clients.

Communicates periodically with auditors, bank examiners and other bank-related agencies and vendors.

Requirements

SKILLS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience with commercial loan documentation, preferred.

Passion for providing a stellar customer service experience to all clients (external and internal) and ability to instill this passion in others.

Excellent interpersonal skills (tactfulness, cooperation, courteousness and customer friendliness) are necessary to represent the bank in a positive manner.

Positive and cooperative approach when working with others.

Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and effectively, with attention to detail for visually appealing output and accurately proofreading publications.

Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively present information to clients and management.

Strong administrative skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve multiple project targets / goals.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and positively adapt to routine changes while maintaining high performance standards.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Ability to efficiently and accurately keyboard information, both computer and calculator.

Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
