Position Summary

The Deposit Operations Analyst is a critical member of the Bank’s operations team, responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of a wide range of deposit-related transactions and services. This role supports both internal departments and external customers by delivering high-quality operational execution, resolving complex inquiries, and maintaining the integrity of core banking data. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and critical thinking skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement in operational processes. This position plays a key role in executing reconciliations, handling exception processing, supporting legal and compliance documentation, managing customer research requests, and contributing to process enhancement initiatives across departments. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a customer-first mindset and a collaborative spirit.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete and/or validate daily assigned tasks promptly
  • Maintain accuracy in data entry and secure transfer of information
  • Resolve inquiries from internal departments and escalate issues when necessary
  • Answer and assist with incoming branch and call center calls
  • Support interdepartmental efforts to improve operational efficiency and streamline procedures
  • Review and validate file maintenance changes and issue non-conformances where appropriate
  • Process exception items (non-posts, stop payments, overdrafts, positive pay, etc.)
  • Investigate and resolve client disputes (check, ACH, wire, and debit card)
  • Verify new account documentation for accuracy and compliance (DDA, TDA, CD, IRA, etc.)
  • Process ICS and CDARS requests
  • Handle customer research requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage returns and adjustments to and from the Federal Reserve Bank
  • Record, research, and respond to legal service of process requests (garnishments, liens, levies, warrants, subpoenas, etc.)
  • Handle government reclamations and Death Notification Entries
  • Compile and deliver monthly reports (IOLTA, IORETA, Reg. O, Dormancy, Finance, etc.)
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of key accounts and general ledgers
  • Process wire transfers via systems such as Fiserv’s WireXchange and ACBB’s Apex
  • Process asset verification and audit requests
  • Administer unclaimed property processing and escheatment

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in the banking industry, ideally in retail banking or deposit operations
  • Proven critical thinking skills to evaluate information and make sound, logical decisions
  • Comfortable using banking software and related digital technologies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and File Explorer
