Scope of Job:
The objective of this position is to ensure the retention and growth of existing customer relationships and continuous growth of new business through proactive sales efforts and quality of service.
Responsible to perform all related work responsibilities consistent with the standardized procedures and compliance requirements of the Bank. Accountable for the development of new customer relationships; along with a focus on the continued maintenance and enhancement of current Consumer Banking relationships. Responsible to accurately fulfill Consumer transactions; actively sell additional Enterprise financial products and services.
Primary Duties:
Responsible to develop and enhance customer financial relationships through daily customer contact and the proactive use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs. Identify early signs of dissatisfaction and work to resolve issues to aid in customer retention.
Responsible for the accurate processing of all customer transactions requested through the lobby, drive-up, or telephone. Including but not limited to; deposits, withdrawals, loan payment receipt, cashier check issuance, check cashing, credit card advances, savings bond redemption, check orders, wire transfer, and ACH transactions.
Perform deposit account maintenance and problem solving according to customer need. Includes but is not limited to: wire transfer, ACH, stop payment, address/other information changes, account balancing/research, debit card, and web banking support.
Open and close personal and business accounts including; checking, savings, deposit, and IRA/HSA accounts; identify and recommend additional convenience services including web banking and debit cards.
Responsible for the origination of Personal loans generated in Consumer Banking including; secured and unsecured Consumer, and Small Business loans.
Accountable for related credit practices for all loan types including: application, credit documentation, analysis, underwriting, customer communication, and disclosure requirements. Complete post-approval documentation requirements including file completion, customer set-up, loan set-up sheet, closing, and funding.
Responsible for overdraft payment decisions, performance and collection activities related to customer deposit and loan accounts.
Serve as an IRA/HSA subject matter expert (SME) for all related informational, account administration, and customer service support needs.
Identify customer needs for additional Bank and Financial Service products. Sell and refer other Bank, Trust, Brokerage, and Insurance products and services to new and existing customers. Actively cross sell GAP/Warranty/Credit Life insurance products.
Actively seek out opportunities to grow new customer relationships. Including; periodic service reviews to help identify and fulfill customer needs, customer contact through in person visits, joint calls or sales telephone calls, and scheduled appointments.
Secondary Duties:
HELOC lending authority may be assigned to this position at the discretion of management.
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.
Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.
Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Requirements
Education:
An Associate's degree in a related field.
Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
ABA Universal Banker Certification Program
Experience:
2 years' experience in related field.
Experience in sales and customer service.
Knowledge and Special Skills:
Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.
Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.
Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.
Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.
Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.
Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.
Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
