Position Description
Banner Defense is in search of a Program Protection Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to implement comprehensive program protection strategies to safeguard critical technologies, systems, and information related to the Missile Defense System (MDS).
Responsibilities
- Support programs in the development of Program Protection Plans (PPPs) and coordinate the PPP approval process.
- Support the Program Managers at each phase of the development of PPPs.
- Assist the program office with assembling experts into integrated product teams (IPTs).
- Assist programs to facilitate the identification and protection of Critical Program Information (CPI), Mission Critical Functions (MCF) and Critical Components (CC).
- Facilitate and support program validation of the identified threat and vulnerability.
- Review policy documents from MDA, DOD and OSD agencies.
- Create CPI training materials.
- Integrate PP countermeasures into MDA contracts.
- Support Mission Assurance Technical Assessments.
- Evaluate and assess corrective actions to security findings.
- Report on Operational Capability Baseline (OCB) slides for program compliance.
- Provide technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDA's Counter- Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate.
- Develop methods to improve the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities.
- BS/BA
- 7 years' experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / projects
- Experience in defense program protection, information security, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and threat assessment methodologies.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Travel may be required
