Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Manager supports the Project Office by organizing, facilitating, and managing the execution of the program requirements to develop and field the baseline missile system.
Essential Duties:
- Act as the primary developer and editor of the Acquisition Strategy.
- Coordinate performance, cost, and schedule requirements with the Prime Contractor and the Government for missile development.
- Report program status through briefings, information papers, and formal reports to Army leadership and DoD agencies.
- Respond to Army-wide "tasker" requirements for program information on various hot topics affecting the program.
- Manage the Program Schedule and provide updates for the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Assist with financial management and P&R form updates for congressional review.
- Provide program information to the Government Accountability Office (GAO).
- Lead multi-functional IPT meetings to prepare for Urgent Materiel Release and DD 250 purchase and transportation of Missiles from the production facility to Army Depot storage.
- Participate in technical reviews, including rocket motor and guidance set Failure Review Boards and qualification test planning and execution.
- Lead efforts to support the Quarterly Materiel Release Review.
- Update and brief status charts weekly.
- Update the Product Office Portfolio for program changes.
- Develop, edit, and refine the Deep Dive orientation briefings.
- Coordinate and prepare the annual EMD Contract evaluation in support of the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP).
- Lead update efforts on the Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR) charts for senior Army review.
- Update the Risk Burn Down plan to detail risk for meeting the Army's directive for an Early Operational Capability.
- Assist the Army and FT Sill warfighting community with DOTMLPF requirements.
- Attend IPT meetings and program strategy sessions.
Required Skills:
- HS diploma and 29 yrs of experience working w/ the DoD
- AA/AS and 27 yrs of experience working w/the DoD
- BS/BA and 25 yrs of experience working w/the DoD
- MS/MA and 23 yrs of experience working w/the DoD
- PhD and at least 21 yrs of experience working w/the DoD
- Minimum of 5 yrs working in DoD Missile Programs, preferably at PEO Missiles and Space
- Minimum of 5 yrs of experience in Acquisitions
- Active Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
- Ability to perform weapon system program management and systems integration.
- 5 years of senior-level experience in one of the more functional areas of DOD/service systems program management and integration.
