This role is remote with standard 5 days per week/ 8-hour days. While hours may be flexible as we have team members in different time zones, you will need to be able to work Banner hours to best accommodate the schedules of our partners.
Our team is remote, but we prefer that you reside within 2 hours' drive of the AZ Central Valley. In the right circumstance, Northern Colorado / Tucson could be a possibility, yet greater Phoenix area is preferred. As the ideal candidate you will have:
Position Summary
This position provides change management, organization development, and transformation expertise to executive and senior leader decision-makers to lead, develop and execute organization interventions that support the strategic direction of the enterprise. Applies strategic models, change management, and behavioral theory to plan, design, and implement complex organization interventions affecting the enterprise, multiple departments or organizations to build the integrated culture of the company. Designs, creates strategies, conducts sessions, and monitors/reports ROI to drive performance and manage change. Provides executive and leadership coaching to administrators, senior leaders, directors, and physicians.
This position will work with leaders and cross functional team members across the organization to support programs and projects that strengthen the alignment between business priorities and organizational strategy (structures, systems, culture, etc.).
Core Functions
Strong knowledge of Human Resources, organizational development, learning design and development, and change management as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or related discipline and four years of experience.
The ideal candidate has a passion for process and operational improvement and a track record of thinking outside of the box to deliver innovations to better serve employees. Superior project management, planning and time management skills. Excellent change management skills - comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments. Demonstrated creativity in writing, layout and editing skills. Sensitivity to local culture / language norms and ability to modify messages to engage a global audience. Excellent at building and managing through relationships across the organization - with peers, upwards, and stakeholders. Experience with developing communications and change management tactics for various audiences at different levels (e.g. executive, management, front-line employees). Technical aptitude; willingness to learn new tools and technologies. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and manage competing priorities. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels. Strong organization and attention to detail skills. Ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Possess a high degree of integrity and sense of confidentiality. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate potentially unique team environments.
Advanced skills in MS Office tools. SharePoint, MS Teams and/or other collaboration tools experience. Experience with consumer/social media.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in learning design and development; change management practices; demonstrated ability to work successfully with leadership teams.
Additional Related Education And/or Experience Preferred.

Core Functions
- Collaboratively assesses climate and culture of the organization to recommend change strategies that drive organizational alignment, size, structure and processes that support the enterprise in maximizing transformation and innovation investments. Works to simplify processes, spans and layers, and global execution of key initiatives effectively and independently across the enterprise. Acts as a scout and change agent in support of transformation, leadership and culture changes within the company through the application and adherence to our internally designed change model.
- Conducts organizational assessments and uses data to provide consultation on organizational effectiveness interventions that will close gaps from current to desired future state. Aligns stakeholders to business objectives and plans to implement those solutions.
- Leads or co-leads organization design and effectiveness efforts by directing needs assessments and gap analyses for executive and senior leadership. Manages data from key indicators and evaluation methodologies to steer recommendations and help senior and departmental leadership realize organizational goals and strategic objectives.
- Initiates, advances, implements, and directs learning initiatives tied to executive and senior level strategic outcomes and the organization-wide initiatives.
- Partners with other members of the Change Management team to apply organizational development expertise, including but not limited to: drives strategic planning; oversees systems thinking; leads change management; executive and senior level consulting; executive and senior leadership development and coaching; advances team formation and development; and facilitation. Plays active role in system-wide learning conferences as appropriate.
- Acts as a transformational leader by translating enterprise strategy into a compelling vision that inspires others to align and support transformation efforts. Effectively inspires, motivates, communicates, models and supports the behaviors of a transformational leader through the use of both formal and informal leadership.
- Stays current on healthcare and business trends and leverages data and metrics in order to recommend transformation strategies that support the enterprise in rapid transformation in response to internal and external drivers.
- Collaborates on the solution development for assigned organizational and business problems related to strategy, transformation and business plan execution, organization design, governance, team effectiveness, engagement models, workflow, etc.
- This position provides overall leadership for organizational development and change management processes in support of Banner’s strategic plan and three year operating plans. Interacts with executive and senior leaders across the enterprise; develops and executes organizational development with leaders.
