Position Summary
The Electrical Engineering Technician provides a high level of technical assistance to production within our Manufacturing Engineering team on our 1st shift.
This position reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Non-Exempt
What You’ll Be Doing
- Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Interpreting electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and other design and assembly documents
- Conducting Inspections and Testing
- Soldering & Reworking sensors as needed
- Communicating findings to Manufacturing Engineers working to eliminate root cause
- Use microscopes, multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, Lux meters, DVM’s and other tools as needed
- Maintenance
- Maintaining various instruments, manufacturing fixtures and control systems used in industrial processes.
- This includes sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), UR robots, Epson Robots.
- Maintaining various instruments, manufacturing fixtures and control systems used in industrial processes.
- Troubleshooting and Repair
- Responding to equipment work request ensuring maximum equipment uptime driving overall equipment effectiveness of the production facility
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborating with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to drive improvements into our manufacturing processes
- Other Duties as Assigned

Required
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics or a related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role(s)
- Ability to work with direction
- Familiar with various types of test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
- Working knowledge of soldering
Preferred
- Familiarity & working knowledge of Banner products
- Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Optical Sensors
- Radar Sensors
- Ultrasonic Sensors
- Familiarity of CE testing
- Experience with CMMS software such as Mpulse or EPAC
- Ability to work independently

- Ability to see clearly; safely and readily identifying the labels, gauges, dials and indicators typically encountered in performing job duties
- Ability to read, write and understand instructions and procedures in English
- Ability to work outside of a normal shift rotation during call-outs or planned maintenance outage
