Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR intern to join our Human Resources. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with key HR functions, including process documentation, job description audits, HRIS data management, and employee training. You will collaborate closely with HR professionals and department managers to enhance HR processes and contribute to the overall success of our team.
This position reports to the HR Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
Process Documentation and Standard Procedures:
- Collaborate with HR team members to understand key HR processes related to talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, employee recognition, payroll, performance management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and more.
- Update existing process documentation and create new standard procedures as needed to streamline team efficiency and improve HR workflow.
Job Description Audit and Update:
- Conduct an audit of job descriptions to identify outdated or missing information.
- Collaborate with department managers to gather accurate and up-to-date job details.
- Refine job descriptions for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company standards and best practices.
- Provide recommendations to enhance the standard job description template for consistency and clarity across the organization.
HRIS Training and Documentation:
- Document processes and procedures within HRIS.
- Create training documents for all aspects of HRIS, including timeclock usage.
Training
- Work closely with the Training Coordinator in our manufacturing plant to assist with development and deployment of employee training.
- Create training guides for roles within Operations.
- Audit Banner Online LMS and update as necessary.

Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A background in HR-related coursework is helpful.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail to effectively understand and document processes, write/update job descriptions, and ensure data accuracy.
- Ability to stay organized and manage time on multiple projects to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
- Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee data and HR processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR team members, managers, and other employees.
Preferred
- Basic understanding of general HR concepts, such as talent acquisition, performance management, training, and job descriptions.
- Familiarity with HR software such as UKG Pro or other data management systems is helpful.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools such as Word, Excel, OneNote and OneDrive.

Pay range: $18 USD to $26 USD
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons
