Position Summary
The Production Planner/Scheduler will work with plant leadership to meet daily production requirements, track inventory, and support production needs and improvement goals.
This position reports to Associate Plant Manager / Production Manager.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Exempt, based on the Professional Exemption
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating daily production and NPI (new production introduction) schedules for the PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) manufacturing and prototyping area
- Creating, reviewing, releasing, and updating work orders and performing associated inventory adjustments
- Monitoring schedules and issuing updates ensure estimated completion dates remain accurate
- Tracking and responding to inquiries regarding expedited orders
- Investigating material shortage issues and escalating current needs to the supply chain team
- Maintaining prototype inventory for upcoming work orders
- Keeping operations management informed of critical bottlenecks
- Sharing updated priorities with production supervisors and line leaders
- Backing up other analysts with similar job duties
- Communicating with finished goods analysts to ensure their supply needs are met
- Analyzing inventories for potential obsolescence; taking action to eliminate obsolete and negative bin items; and monitoring and implementing ECO changes as required
- Providing overall operational assistance to the area manager as needed, such as supporting production goals, system operations, and continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of Production Planning Experience
