Duties and Responsibilities
Process accounts and incoming payments, including customer checks, ACH payments and credit card payments, in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' dataPrepare bills, invoices and bank depositsReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issuesFacilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsPerform account / payment reconciliationCreate and maintain collection filesIdentify and reconcile delinquent accountsSort and manage undeliverable invoice / checksThe position requires accuracy and attention to details.Interact with others in a professional and ethical mannerFollow department and company proceduresKeep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this companyOther duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements
Knowledge of basic accounting proceduresClerical skills such as handling files and records and typingStrong attention to detail, organization, problem solving and follow through skillsAbility to utilize Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook).High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferredOne-year experience providing support in an accounting departmentLess than 5% travel requirementPhysical Demands / Requirements :
