ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop and implement project strategies, objectives, and goals, escalating to the Director of Technology & Projects when needed.
Establish projects, budgets, and presentation materials for review and approval by the Director of Technology & Projects and all appropriate committees.
Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedule, and ensure all projects are completed on an agreed timeline.
Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
Coordinate with external vendors on the implementation of system enhancements and changes to improve system and process efficiency.
Serve as a central point of contact and collaborative team member with our internal business partners to implement system enhancements and changes.
Research and troubleshoot issues when they arise. Prioritize and escalate issues, as appropriate, working with team members and/or external vendors to resolve.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver end-user documentation, such as user guides and training materials, in both technical and user-friendly language.
Communicate system enhancements and changes to end-users.
Maintain, manage, and document all project reports and statements. Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Facilitate analysis reports for the bank’s projects.
Communicate regularly with project team and stakeholders.
Chair and facilitate project meetings and distribute appropriate documents to project team members or users. Prepare presentation materials for meetings.
Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards a best solution.
Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with project team members and external vendors.
May act as a liaison between team members involved in various project specifications.
Ensure adherence to the bank’s Project Management Policy for all projects and make recommendations for changes as necessary as project management strategies evolve.
Assist the Director of Technology & Projects in the onboarding and training of Project Coordinators.
Assume responsibility for special projects and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, a related field, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
Certified Associate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute or other relevant industry certification required.
A minimum of three years of experience in a banking environment, particularly working with core banking systems and procedures, required.
