We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmology Technician to join our team. Duties
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, and retinal imaging.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient visit.
- Provide patient education regarding eye health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
- Handle medical billing processes and verify insurance information as needed.
- Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to enhance patient experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an ophthalmology setting or medical office preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical billing practices related to ophthalmic services.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
