Summary:
- This position is a member of the Decision Support team, which is dedicated to identifying improvements in the financial performance of Baptist Health through core functions of: maintaining a decision support/cost accounting system, developing and reporting financial statistics, reporting service line profitability, identification of clinical/financial variation, performing financial planning through forecasting and capital management, performing department and entity-level financial reviews, supporting formal performance improvement processes through tracking and analysis, and labor management.
- The position will work on varying projects across the wide spectrum of department functions in order to gain experience and exposure on a path to becoming a subject matter expert in one or more areas of emphasis.
- This is a staff-level position that works closely with Decision Support Team Leadership and other Finance positions.
- Must possess strong problem solving abilities, analytical skills, and a desire to learn. A high level of communication and technological skills is required as well as the ability to work in teams.
Other information:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or Information Technology, or two years of comparable work experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite and system analysis skills required.
- Ability to effectively interact with other project staff members that may be financial and non-financial.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
