Job Description
The Community Liaison is responsible for the implementation of business and marketing plans for the facility. This position establishes strategic marketing plans with the executive director to achieve the facility's objectives. This position manages the department's marketing budgets and plans by territory. This role directs information from referring professional or facilities thru the intake process; meeting with potential patients and conducting pre-admission screenings as a liaison between the source and hospital to obtain detail information in determining admission eligibility. This position assists with care alternatives for patients and families that don't meet the hospitals level of care requirements or program services. This position is active in the community development of services. This position promotes mental health prevention awareness and develops positive relationships with community resources and networks to provide a seamless continuum of care and maintain positive collaborative relationships. The ultimate goal of this position is to improve overall community life for all mental health patients referred to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data (including program activity, satisfaction and health care trend statistics) to assist in the development of referral source outreach strategies, and to provide feedback to behavioral health administrators on the needs and perceptions of the behavioral health unit. Implements specific outreach, relationship building, and educational plans targeted to referral sources in assigned territory or by specific initiative.
- Maintains ongoing contact with referring entities, including routine or follow-up visits and phone calls. Identifies specific services and resources the behavioral health unit can provide to benefit a referral source and patient population.
- Interviews referral sources to communicate the behavioral health unit's mission, services and strength and to identify benefits of partnerships within the community.
- Assists with coordination and communication of program activities and services such as networking, leadership and educational events and network opportunities. Identifies and resolves patient, referral source or system service delivery problems by coordinating with service line and operational leaders and recommending methods to improve and streamline services.
- Utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality within the department and community of all strategic and other information regarding physicians, patients and the hospitals.Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

- 2 Years experience in business development including relationship cultivation and customer service Required.
- 2 Years experience in behavioral health Required
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, Communication or Nursing Required
