Picture Archive and Communications System (P.A.C.S) Administrator
Job Description:
- This position is accountable for all aspects of the Radiology PACS system, including day-to-day support of the system and oversight for PACS upgrades.
- It is also responsible for the integration of the PACS system operation with Information Services infrastructure and standards.
- Has fiscal accountability for the PACS system.
- This position is also accountable for all aspects of the Radiology RIS system, including day-to-day support of the system and oversight for RIS upgrades.
- It is responsible for the integration of the RIS system operation with Information Services infrastructure and standards.
- Requirements:
- Option 1 – Associate's degree with 2 years’ experience with windows-based computer systems; Minimum 2 years of Technical and Project Management experience with PACS required; Understanding of Radiology clinical and administrative procedures preferred; Minimum 2 years of experience working with an RIS, HIS, PACS, and Radiology Department Information System.
- Option 2 – Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology with an active ARRT certification; Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of Radiology and PACS systems required; Minimum 1 year of experience with Informatics and windows-based computer systems required; Minimum 2 years of experience working with an RIS, HIS, PACS, and Radiology Department Information System .
- Must maintain current Radiologic Operators License for State and ARRT and have a current copy on file with the Hospital.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must have Current CPR
